Abstract :
This paper describes a new technique by which circuit matrix equations of high-speed circuits can be formulated directly and we need not consider the matrix forms of distributed parameters. Then sensitivity analysis and optimization of high-speed circuits are derived from the technique. The proposed sensitivity analysis method can be applied with respect to both electrical and physical parameters of multiconductor transmission lines and it is of high efficiency. Minimax technique is applied to the optimization and the effect is obvious, but trying several different initial values is needed. Numerical experiments are presented to demonstrate the accuracy and efficiency of these methods and illustrate their application to the sensitivity analysis and optimization of high-speed circuits.
