Abstract :
The effect of roll angle error on the range dependent gain correction for spaceborne scanning synthetic aperture radar (ScanSAR) is analyzed in this paper. For the bursts image processing of the Scan SAR, the model of the range dependent gain is developed. The basic precision of the roll angle estimation is present to satisfy the requirement of Scan SAR image radiometric correction, and a theoretical guideline for the design and analysis of spaceborne Scan SAR is provided, as verified by simulations.
