  • Abstract
    The creation of a high-resolution clutter map and digital elevation model in an urban area of Rome, Italy, derived from available optical satellite images, with applications in the optimising of mobile telecommunications in highly or moderately built-up urban areas. The future possibilities that will arise with the availability of the forthcoming very-high-resolution images from the QuickBird satellite of DigitalGlobeTM are also presented
