Abstract
LTE, The Long Term Evolution systems is the major milestone in stepping towards 4G evolution. An important feature in LTE is its adoption of Radio Resource Management (RRM) procedures which interact among them to improve the usage of available radio resources. A quantitative performance assessment has been carried out in order to enrich the analysis of different Scheduling schemes for the downlink of LTE network. Round Robin, Best CQI and Proportional Fair algorithms are considered. Resource Block grid allocation is evaluated for every scheduling scheme, so as to understand which of the users are being considered for allocation in every Transmission Time Interval (TTI). Particular focus is given to the Spectral efficiency and Fairness.
