Abstract
High voltage planar transformer is a new kind of power component using in the special environment. The EMI issue of it acts as an important role in the analysis of product reliability. This paper firstly presents a prototype and a application of the transformer. Then through finite element analysis (FEA) simulation, gives the calculation results of field distributions and current density distributions of the planar transformer windings. The calculation area is divided into two regions, inside the magnetic core and outside the core. The models and simulation methods are of great values to the EMI analysis of the planar transformer.
