Abstract
Simulation models based on the different structural levitation vortexes were built, the analysis on the flow characteristics of pressure distribution and bearing capacity was conducted by using the RNG ¿-¿ turbulent model and non-uniform meshing in variable working conditions. The theory and experiment results indicate that there is the best adsorption effect as the gap thickness is between 0.2 mm and 0.65 mm. The negative pressure effect and the lifting force will decrease when the gap thickness are beyond the range; increasing the supply flow rate can offer a larger lifting force.
