Abstract
The Wigner Hough Transform (WHT) is an elegant way in extracting key information of linear Frequency Modulation (LFM) signals such as initiatory frequency and chirp rate, which are illustrated as Doppler parameters of radar echoes. However, high computation complexity and large memory requirements were inherent disadvantages of the traditional WHT, which results in difficulty in practical application. Based on the special characteristic of radar echoes, a new real-time algorithm is developed by “parameter predicting and local search” in parameter domain. For traditional HT is not suitable for applying the new algorithm because of initial definition, so point-slope form of HT is proposed in this paper. Simulations were executed and all results had verified its validity and effectiveness.
