Abstract

The performance of an enterprise is greatly influenced by its management capacity. From the aspect of management theory, control is a function of management. This paper was based on the control lever theory created by Robert Simons, Firstly proposed the conception of enterprise control power and worked out an indicators system of enterprise control power, then designed the questionnaire and researched 16 machinery and equipment manufacturing industry enterprises in the region of Harbin, analyzed the relationship between the enterprise control, the essence function of management, and the performance. Through investigation this paper proved that enterprise control has a positive influence on the performance. Finally this study gave out the strategies of how to improve the organization performance by using the control tools.
