  • Abstract
    The development of database technology, every-increasing needs of enterprise management for decision-making support and the comprehensive application of AI are driving the theories and technology of data mining and knowledge discovery. In recent years, data mining and knowledge discovery have been paid more attention and all kinds of algorithms and tools are blooming. Their characteristics are overlapping of subjects, fusion of several techniques, generalizing of data mining and integrating of knowledge discovery. The paper discusses the development trend of knowledge discovery based on the summary and analysis of the theory of knowledge discovery in databases and the actuality of technological methods, and introduces the mechanism of the total data mining process, researching in expansible structure and algorithm of KDD, and serial development of software, according to the theory of double based cooperation proposed by the author.
