Abstract
Vehicular communications have become very important in the recent years. Vehicles instantaneously form networks and utilize the available communication infrastructure. The vehicles´ mobility is one of the major challenges in vehicular communications. In car-to-infrastructure communications, a vehicle is assigned an IP address through the network it is connected to, and thus mobility means a new IP address. In this work, we propose a NAT/Proxy-based solution to deal with the routing problem resulting from continuous changes of the IP address for vehicles while moving between different subnets.
