Abstract :
Trusted interaction in a wireless environment is highly challenging as possibly interacting mobile entities are not known to each other at design or deployment time. This paper proposes an architecture, and considers the inherent semantic limitations, for intelligent trust establishment and dynamic authentication and authorization between mobile entities previously unknown to each other, utilizing ontology-based mapping at a common certificate authority server. The proposed solution can assist with mapping of attributes on which to base trust decisions, in a range of instances but there are also inherent semantic limitations discussed later in the paper.
