Abstract
Lots of studies for hysteresis current regulator have been carried out because of its simple principle and structure. However, it looks hysteresis controllers still have some weaknesses like as inconsistent switching frequency, high switching frequency according to the operating conditions and etc. Some researchers studied for reducing its switching loss to decrease the switching frequency and parts of them are useful. Especially for the model adding 0 mode state and comparing the slope of the current reference, the effect of the reduced switching frequency looks useful. In this study, to apply this method to real load, part of the algorithm is realized not by software but by FPGA which has hardware speed to enhance the response time. This simple method decreases the generated switching frequency and significantly reduces the generated heat with reliability. This proposed method is proved by comparison with simulation and experiment.
