Abstract :
Amplitude-modulated optical carrier (7Gbps, 5.5dB extinction-ratio) is erased by an extremely saturated Ultra-Long SOA and afterwards re-modulated (3.3Gbps), generate an upstream carrier with power penalties lower than 1dB.
