Abstract :
In the last decade, we´ve witnessed the complexity of InP based PICs with high active device content scale to device counts in the 100´s in a singular chip. Meanwhile silicon photonic platforms have advanced with demonstrations of advanced passive circuits, silicon design & manufacturing environments applied to photonics, and intimate electronic co-design (SiP and SoC). In this talk we discuss the advantages of the convergence of InP and Silicon technologies through heterogeneous integration.
