Abstract
Although relatively small in size and power output, automotive accessory motors play a vital role in improving such critical vehicle characteristics as drivability, comfort, and, most importantly - fuel economy. Through illustration of novel concepts, simulation and experimental data, this paper describes cost reduction and performance improvement opportunities in typical automotive accessory motors.
