Abstract :
In this paper we propose an antenna with the ability to tune its beamwidth and therefore focus its radiation energy to the intended listeners as needed. In particular, the proposed antenna consists of 2 x 2 patch array based on a reconfigurable matching circuit. By selectively activating two antenna elements, beamwidth control is obtainable with maintaining the matching circuit.
