Abstract
With the development of RFID middleware technology, the reduction of network bandwidth consumption when transferring large number of tag data is important. Moreover, meeting the requirement to build a company´s own RFID network has become the key to the popularization and promotion of RFID applications. Existing domestic RFID middleware generally does not have network management functions which makes the implementation of RFID network middleware a key issue. This paper studies the characteristics of the RFID network and proposes an RFID router system architecture. It integrates RFID middleware and routing system involving in both hardware and software levels depending on the hardware environment. Experimental validation results indicate that the architecture implements RFID middleware functions, and also provides self-organizing network and quality of service (QoS) functions.
