Abstract :
Purpose of this research is to present realistic surface models of male urogenital organs and neighboring structures, made more automatically by using new computer technique. For the purpose, outlining and automatic interpolation was performed on Combustion; surface reconstruction following volume reconstruction was done on 3D-Doctor; the surface models were assembled in their proper positions and refined on Maya; a surface model was coated by real surface texture of the structure acquired from volume model on specially programmed software and Maya. The surface models, prepared in this research, are expected to contribute to medical simulation such as interactive virtual operation. The improved technique to build the surface models, developed in this research, is expected to enable other researchers to easily make their own surface models from other serial images.
