Abstract
A completely decentralised observer design is proposed. The design is based on a novel combination of modal analysis, singular perturbation and unknown-input observer theory. It is shown that each local observer asymptotically converges to the true state of its corresponding sub-system. A numerical example with simulation results are given to illustrate the design approach
