Abstract :
This paper explores the power saving technique for multi-hop ad-hoc wireless networks that reduces energy consumption without significantly diminishing the capacity or connectivity of the network. EEN (Energy Efficient Network) builds on the corrective observation of Power saving network when a region of multi shared-channel wireless network has a sufficient density of nodes, only a small number of them need to be on at any time to forward traffic for active connections. Emphasis is also given for the measurements of a deployed wireless ad hoc network to illustrate the effects of link loss rates on routing protocol performance. Simulation results of this network show that the radio links between the majorities of nodes have substantial loss rate for high density region.
