  • Abstract
    This paper is concerned with the thrust tracking and safety protection problem for the aero-engines, and the coordinated switching control strategy is proposed. First, we study the acceleration/ temperature protection switching control problem for the turbofan engines, and the command switching strategy combined with the resetting of the state in the controller is proposed. The acceleration controller and the protection controller are designed separately and are arranged to work in turn according to a designed switching law, with lager design degree of freedom and less conservatism. The reference signal of the protecting loop is well designed to get satisfactory performance. Second, a coordinated switching controller is proposed to solve the thrust tracking problem for the ramjet aero-engine with the constraints of both the unstart margin and the control input. The dynamical behavior of the tracking controller is arranged properly in a designed coordinated law during the protection interval so that the control constraint can be guaranteed. Simulation researches verify the effectiveness of the proposed methods and indicate that the proposed strategy can improve performance on both safety and dynamical properties.
