Abstract :
Ultra-low slope medium-dispersion fiber has been designed and fabricated: dispersion is at 8 ps/nm-km, slope down to 0.009 ps/nm2-km, while effective area is around 50 μm2 @1550 nm. Numerical investigations of matching DCF exhibiting high effective area and small residual dispersion are also reported.
