Abstract :
This paper describes the significance of image fusion by way of the second-generation Curvelet transform. We put forward an ameliorative method, based on Curvelet transform, that demonstrates an advantage. In order to test the availability of the algorithm for the metropolitan area remote sensing image fusion, we compare with other general remote sensing image fusion methods, as well as traditional methods based on the second-generation Curvelet transform. Finally, we conclude from the test result image that it has better space structure and better light spectrum property, thanks to the use of the Curvelet transform.
