Abstract :
Artificial intelligence, once only a topic of discussion in the halls of academia, is now being put to practical use in the control rooms of industry. The process has not been without its difficulties. The purpose of this paper is to review some of the key learnings that we have gained over several years of implementing small advisory systems in our plant. This review will include a discussion of: where to apply advisory systems, what are the barriers to acceptance and what are the prerequisites for success
