Artful analysis-the key to successful warranties

The authors discuss a sampling of their experiences in conducting several dozen warranty analyses for US Army, Navy, and Air Force program offices. A description is given of how the tools present within the military decision-support system (DSS) have been used by the authors´ company by select teams of experts to converge on optimal warranty approaches, project their costs and benefits, and tailor program-specific warranty clauses.
