Abstract :
An overall research and developed (R&D) cost-effectiveness evaluation system currently in use called the research contributed-to-profit method (RCP method) is described in detail. It is noted how cost-effectiveness evaluations can be strategically used considering the phase of research, the product´s life-cycle, and future growth factors. Some prospects and analysis for future R&D are reviewed and discussed. Examples of actual evaluation results are provided to show the effectiveness of the RCP method
