  • Abstract
The H filtering is studied for discrete-time networked systems where the output measurements are subject to random time delays. Under the assumption that some random variables with probability, a new time delay model is presented which mimics popularly used communication protocols. Based on this time delay model, we offer a design method for the H filtering by solving a linear matrix inequality. Our design guarantees the exponentially mean-square stability of the state estimation error dynamics and satisfies the prescribed H performance. A simulation example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
