Abstract
A novel output voltage compensator is proposed for the boost DC-DC converter required to provide adjustable output voltage while supplying unknown (linear or nonlinear) resistive load. Nonlinear current-mode control is employed to eliminate sensitivity to variations of the small-signal load resistance, whereas the extended linearization and gain scheduling techniques are used to adapt the compensator parameters to different load current and output voltage levels. The technique is very suitable for laboratory power supplies
