  • Abstract
This paper attempts to tackle the latter problem by extending the single-diffraction solution to a double-diffraction solution that can be extended to a multiple-diffraction solution. A double wedge obstruction is derived and the resulted waveform is then compared with the corresponding solution in the FD by applying the inverse Fourier transform of the waveform. The results show very good agreement between the two solutions even though the TD solution offers much better computation times and it is also more sensitive and thus, accurate in frequency-selective environments unless the FD solution is applied to every single system frequency. The latter is a very time-consuming process and thus, it is usually avoided by researchers for most engineering problems.
