Abstract :
For urban area orthorectification, in order to orthorectify a building to its correct, upright position, the building must be represented as part of the surface to be rectified. Therefore, an exact digital building model, which describes the building structure, three-dimensional coordinates, topologic relationship, etc., is required. This paper first presents the parametrerized CSG building model for describing urban 3D buildings for large-scale urban orthoimage generation. Then, a linear geometric constraint method is addressed to locate and extract the outline of the CSG building model and its texture. This method fully utilizes the geometric relationships of 3D detailed model existing the buildings, thus the control information is not only ground control point, but also relative control information. The experiment shows the better orthorectification for urban area with 3D detailed building model.
