Abstract :
Future intra and inter chip ULSI interconnect systems demand extremely high data rate. Traditional wired interconnection technology is band limited, therefore to meet the future demand of data rate we are reporting a new ultra wide band (UWB) monocycle pulse (MCP) which can be used as transmitting pulse in a single chip implementation of an UWB transceiver for intra and inter chip communication in future ULSI. The MCP power level is 2.7 mW at 1.8 V for an antenna input impedance of 50 Omega. Here DSSS is used only for multiple access. The proposed transceiver is based on double threshold level detector at receiver end and thus precise phase synchronization is not required. Transmission and reception of the proposed DSSS UWB transceiver for multi userspsila application has been confirmed by simulation and results are presented here.
