Abstract :
This paper presents a new knowledge-based approach to the automatic creation of switching sequences in substations and power plants. By using cognition theory, a cognitive model is built for substations and power plants. The qualities of holistic and reversion and experience must be considered while generating a expert system. In order to realize a use-oriented prototype expert system, a separation knowledge base and a network-based general path search engine are described. The expert system has been successfully used by a number of substations and China´s GeHeyan hydroelectric power plant
