With the development of the national economy and the society in China, job burnout has become an epidemic syndrome. As for female employees, they face greater job pressures and suffer form more serious job burnout than their male counterparts. The purpose of this paper is to probe what causes job burnout of female employees and how job burnout can be prevented and mitigated. Based on the study of female employees at Huangpu district of Shanghai through interviews and questionnaires, we conclude that job burnout of female employees is due to organizational, environmental, and personal factors. Finally, we propose some measures for preventing and mitigating job burnout of female employees.
