Abstract
After availability of 3D LCD display systems, the stereo vision applications without glasses become more and more popular in our daily life. However, the stereo contents are still not rich enough for the viewers. In this paper, we will propose a simple generation procedure to produce stereoscopic video from monoscopic H.264 compressed moving video. Effectively using the motion information contained in compressed video, the proposed generation procedure contains matching frame decision, corner point extraction, corner point matching, matching point refinement, frame shifting, transformation, and reshaping. Experimental results show that the proposed method can effectively pick up the matching frame to provide horizontal parallax and adjust vertical parallax such that the generated video sequences can properly exhibit stereo scenes in stereoscopic LCD display systems.
