Abstract
This article investigates experimentally and by device simulation the use of compensation devices in the phase shift ZVS bridge. Power MOSFETs reportedly fail at light load conditions due to the uncomplete clearance of the reverse recovery charge before turn-off. It is shown that compensation devices like CoolMOSTM Solve this problem due to their significantly different device structure
