Abstract
In this study the success in the formation of well-aligned ZrO2 nanotubes by anodization of Zr in glycerol at 50V is reported. The nanotubes are smooth and crystalline. The effect of fluorine concentration on the length and diameter of the nanotubes is discussed. It is known that fluorine is the key in the formation of the nanotubular structures.
