Abstract :
Accompanied by the development of cognitive radio technologies, dynamic spectrum sharing has become a promising approach to increasing the efficiency of spectrum use. This paper sketches dynamic resource renting and offering mechanism for dynamic spectrum sharing in a multi cell context for OFDMA systems. A credit token based auction mechanism in support of dynamic spectrum sharing between cells is described in perspective of current IEEE 802.22 standard. In this paper we propose a generalized Vickrey-based auction (GVA) mechanism, which is a type of sealed-bid auction need renters to bid and receive the bidding results only once, so auction can be finished quickly, increasing the opportunity of using free TV spectrum and decreasing signaling overhead. Simulations authenticate that our proposed GVA mechanism has intensive compatibility. In addition, Simulation results revealed that GVA mechanism outperforms ascending bid auction mechanism in normalized total throughput with the rising number of WRAN cells.
