Abstract
The paper presents the modifications made in comparison with the actual functioning pattern which is part of the subsystem in the Western and South-Western area of the Romanian power system, the Winter-Evening-Peak regime. The 400 kV electrical line Portile de Fier-Resita was introduced, the transition of the electrical lines Resita-Timisoara and Timisoara-Sacalaz-Arad from 220 kV to 400 kV was made; these lines previously operated as 220 kV lines. The 400 kV electrical lines Oradea-Nadab-Bekescsba and Arad-Nadab-Bekescsaba were also introduced to. We tried to identify a series of specific regimes which are representative for the problems raised by the reactive power flow and by the voltage level. Simple contingencies of N-1 type referring to all elements of the power system for the basic regime have been analyzed as well as double contingencies of N-2 type.
