Abstract
This paper presents a novel sensorless model control dc-dc converter. In the proposed method, the output current is predicted from the duty ratio and the output voltage in order to exclude the sensing resistor. Only the output voltage and the input voltage are detected. The transient characteristics in the proposed method without the current detection are compared to the existing proposed method and the conventional P-I-D control method. The bias value in the P-I-D is controlled based on the static model of dc-dc converter. The proposed method achieves a superior transient response compared to the P-I-D control. It is also confirmed that the proposed method without current sensing can achieve the good transient response as the digital control method using the output current sensing.
