Abstract
We developed a conveyance system composed of multiple autonomous mobile robots and a monitoring and control unit used to monitor and control these robots. This system features the use of autonomous mobile robots running while grasping and interpreting the environment for themselves to generate running paths, and thereby eliminates the need for tracks for conveyance and further eliminates the need for a complex running control algorithm for the monitoring and control unit to control the robot group. We introduced this system in a blood test line as a blood specimen conveyance robot system and demonstrated that the system was effective and provided a high degree of versatility.
