Abstract
Global pinning synchronization in complex networks has been extensively studied in the last decades due to its potential applications. One common assumption in most of the existing literature within this context is that the underlying network structure of the augmented network with pinning links is static. This paper aims to provide some simple yet efficient criteria for ensuring global pinning synchronization in complex directed networks with a time-varying network structure. The analytical results are derived by using a combined tool from M-matrix method and stability analysis of switched systems. It is theoretically shown that the global pinning synchronization in switched complex networks can be ensured if the augmented network contains a directed spanning tree frequently enough and some suitable conditions are satisfied. The effectiveness of the analytical analysis is verified by some numerical simulations.
