Abstract :
Draw bead geometry parameters have a significant effect to the quality of sheet metal forming. The application of response surface method (RSM), orthogonal experiment design method (OEDM) and dynamic explicit finite element method (FEM) in the optimum design (OD) for draw bead geometry parameters used in drawing procedure of cross member panel, a benchmark of Numisheet´2005, was discussed. The comparison between the OD results and the draw bead geometry parameters offered by the benchmark was carried. The effectiveness of this method was verified.
