Abstract :
In order to research the effect of different filling methods on working behavior of high concrete face rock-fill dam (CFRD), the filling methods of CFRD in China were summarized in this paper. By three-dimensional nonlinear finite element method, computational simulation was carried out for the two filling methods of Shuibuya CFRD, one is the primary design filling method, and the other is the practical filling method which is called anti-lift process. From the calculation, it´s found that the stress and deformation of rock fill and concrete face are improved by the filling method of anti-lift process. It indicates the anti-lift filling process is more reasonable and feasible. It provides technical support for the design of high CFRD filling method.
