  • Abstract
    This paper presents a modified circular-shaped Micro strip Patch Antenna (MPA). New geometry of proposed antenna is evolved by considering a circular patch and then modifying its shape by removing arcs at different positions. 3-D EM Solver CST Studio Suite is used to obtain the simulated results of existing (circle and single arc-cut on circle) and proposed (two arc-cuts on top and left side of circle) geometries of MPA. These results are compared to study the effect of proposed geometries on overall performance of antenna. New cost effective geometry of MPA shifts the frequency and affects the radiation parameters by improvement in gain, bandwidth and cross-polar level.
