Abstract :
A 1 V 2.4 GHz FSK receiver in 0.2 μm CMOS/SOI integrates an LNA, a quadrature mixer, a channel-select complex BPF, and a frequency doubler. The frequency doubler doubles the modulation index of a received signal, and thus improves demodulation performance. The power consumption of the receiver is 23 mW with a 1 V power supply. A bit-error-rate (BER) measurement using the receiver and a demodulation IC shows -76.5 dBm sensitivity at a 0.1% BER.
