Abstract :
The factor of absorption efficiency (FAE) of a thin platinum cylinder within a three-centimeter wave band was studied. There were some incorrectness in the used measurement procedure consisting in disposition of the cylinder on the unclosed end of a waveguide, but absorbed by the cylinder. Furthermore, high-frequency power was determined on a relative increment of resistance, a temperature coefficient of resistance, and coefficient of the heat exchange with environment. The aim of the work is improvement of the measuring procedure and increase of reliability of the received results.
