  • Abstract
The electroencephalogram (EEG) signal taken from human scalp during visual cognitive tasks, contains several signals related to the displacement of the oculars globes. This displacement is considered as an artifact. In our study, both EEG and EOG signals were recorded simultaneously and the artifacts were eliminated in real time using a variable step size adaptive algorithm (VSSLMS). The efficiency of the technique used is established by comparing EEG before and after filtering using cross-correlation function. The method is simple to implement in real time.
