Abstract :
This paper presents an overview of the use of wireless data transfer supporting critical medical care in which life-threatening situations are present. Also discussed are some issues for the wireless channel and user interface that may not be considered by the typical industrial or consumer user. The paper concludes with a discussion of goals and challenges for the wireless data designer in the critical care environment
