Abstract :
In order to reduce the environmental noise signals without multimedia signal distortion efficiently in U-Home´s Smart Devices, we provide a new Wiener filtering based reduction technique which is based on the input-signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) estimation method with pre-processing on various IP-based smart devices at a pervasive home. First of all, our test-bed is composed by various smart consumer devices such as smart mirror, smart window, smart table, etc., which provide multimedia service over IP-network. Second, for various noisy conditions like White Gaussian, fan, air-conditioner, babble, shower-bath noises, etc., at home, the perceptual evaluation of speech quality (PESQ) evaluation is performed to evaluate the performance of the proposed QoE-aware reduction scheme method.
