Abstract :
The results of a study of the dielectric, piezo- and pyroelectric properties of calcium modified lead titanate (PTCa), and its composites with (i) copolymer vinylidene fluoride-Trifluoroethylene (VDF-TrFE) and (ii) Epoxy (Epikote 828) are reported. The latter composite, i.e. PTCa/Epikote 828 with 60% vol% ceramic loading appear to have superior properties for piezoelectric transducer-receiver application in comparison with the PTCa/P(VDF-TrFE) with 65 vol% ceramic loading
